It is the operation of removing the excess skin and the fat layer that causes swelling, which can be applied to both the lower and upper eyelids. The aim of the operations is to obtain a flatter, striking and youthful eye area.

Upper and lower eyelid surgeries can be performed independently or in the same session. It can be applied to both men and women.

The person’s expectations and complaints about the eye area are listened to. What can be done to the eyelids of the person and what kind of image will be obtained are discussed together. The patient is examined. Appropriate drawings and necessary photography are made.

​Lower lid blepharoplasty can be performed with general anesthesia or local + sedation anesthesia, and upper lid blepharoplasty with only local anesthesia. For the upper lid, the incision is placed on the natural upper lid crease, for the lower lid, it is placed immediately parallel to the eyelash base. The operation time is 30 minutes – 1 hour for the upper eyelid, 1-2 hours for the lower eyelid . After the surgery, appropriate bands are placed and dressing is done.

​ After blepharoplasty ,nutrition begins in the early period and the patient is mobilized after feeding. The patient can be discharged on the same day or stay in the hospital for 1 night. There may be mild swelling and bruises on the face. If regular cold application is made in the early period, it will be minimized. The patient’s bandages are removed on the 2-3rd day and he can take a bath. Stitches are removed on the 5th day. Swelling and bruises disappear within 7-10 days and after this period, make-up can be applied. You can return to work on the 3-5th day after the operation. Light activities can be done after 2-3 weeks and heavy activities after 1 month.
